Kulbhushan Jadhav: Not far fetch for Pakistani operatives to move freely in Chabahar HERE
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Chabahar feels more South Asian than Iranian. It is a Baloch port town close to the Pakistan border. Iranian areas of Sistan-Baluchistan are peaceful. Balochistan province in Pakistan has a festering independence movement where extremist Sunni groups from rest of Pakistan have moved in to cause trouble.

The author found people from Chabahar who had crossed the border many times to attend social events like weddings. Locals claim they can walk across without visa. Baloch are the same people and have relatives on the other side. Kulbhushan Jadhav was based in Chabahar and was abducted from there. According to the author, it is entirely possible for KJ to have been kidnapped and taken to Pakistan.

Nothing strategic is happening at Chahabar
India has signed up to develop the port and the railway line to Zahedan. It is meant to be a grand strategy for Afghanistan and Central Asia. Pakistan and China are unhappy about it. Unfortunately, India has done little on the ground. Govt has not activated its private companies to start the work. While Iran waits impatiently, Indian workers there are earning a living in a small way.
